In the last month, hundreds of people have become unwell after eating one of the most popular cereals on grocery store shelves.

The products were available at Walmart, Wegmans, H-E-B, and even on Amazon.com. Here are the specifics on how to keep your kitchen safe and free of foodborne illnesses.

Strauss Israel products sold nationwide at Walmart and other stores

Strauss Israel has warned in a recall notice published by the FDA that over 90 of its Elite branded goods could be contaminated with Salmonella.

"The items are being recalled because they were made in a facility where Salmonella was found in the production line and in the liquid chocolate used to make the finished products," says the company.

A frozen fish product sold at Wegmans, Giant Food Stores, and more

Gorton's Seafood is recalling two frozen fish products because they may contain large and/or sharp bone fragments.

"While there have been no reports of damage from the product to date," Gorton's Seafood notes in the notice, "the firm is taking this measure to guarantee the safety and well-being of all of our consumers."

H-E-B Bakery Two Bite Brownies

One of H-E- B's bakery delights distributed in Texas and Mexico has been recalled due to the possibility of metal particles.

Customers who bought the foods should stop eating them and return them to the store for a full refund, according to the supermarket chain.
