NASCAR: Major announcement coming later today?
Earlier this week, Trackhouse Entertainment Group announced a new program called PROJECT91.
This program is designed to expand the international reach of the Justin Marks and Pitbull-owned Trackhouse Racing Team by fielding a NASCAR Cup Series entry, the #91 Chevrolet, for renowned international racing drivers in select races.
The plan is to expand the #91 Chevrolet’s program in the future, though there is still a very good chance that it won’t be limited to just one appearance over the course of the 2022 season’s final 23 races.
On Wednesday evening, Marks himself simply tweeted “Tomorrow.”, and a few minutes later, the PROJECT91 Twitter account tweeted “5.26.22”, accompanied by a short clip featuring the same.
Many have speculated that this could be confirmation of when the #91 Chevrolet will make its first appearance in 2022, and perhaps even who the first ever driver of the car will be.
In fact, it is widely believed that PROJECT91 was announced on Tuesday morning with Trackhouse Racing Team already having something along these lines in place.
As for today’s big announcement, we’ll just have to wait and see. But since entering the Cup Series last year, suffice it to say that Trackhouse Racing Team have done anything but disappoint. Expect that trend to continue no matter what today’s news brings.
