Two women accuse George Foreman of sexual abuse when the women were minors in 1970s

According to civil lawsuits filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Foreman had sexual relations with the women when they were 13 to 16 years old.

Two women say Foreman sexually assaulted them as minors in the 1970s.

The pseudonymous women in their 60s are suing for sexual battery and intentional emotional distress. Suits don't name Foreman, 73. The defendant is described as a 1949-born heavyweight boxer who defeated Joe Frazier in 1973, lost to Muhammad Ali in 1974, and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

"Two women have tried to extort millions of dollars from me and my family for six months," Foreman said. "They falsely claim I sexually abused them in the 1970s. I deny these charges.

"My reputation is as important to me as my athletic achievements, and I won't be intimidated by lies and threats." God's love and grace guide me always. I'll work with my lawyers to expose and defend myself against my accusers' plot."

One of the women was "15-16" when Foreman allegedly sexually assaulted her, the lawsuit says. She had "no ability or legal capacity to consent to the aforementioned sexual acts." According to the lawsuit, Foreman was over 23 when he allegedly raped her in a Los Angeles hotel and apartment.
